Thomas K. Plofchan, Attorney at Law

Tom Plofchan is a 1992 graduate of the University of Virginia School of Law. He graduated with distinction from the U.S. Naval Academy in 1985 and holds an M.A. degree in government from Georgetown University.

In addition to his law practice, Tom is vice president of Old American Title Inc., a real estate settlement company. He also serves on the board of directors of KTP International Inc., Accelerated Mortgages Inc., and the Compass & Anchor Club, Inc.

Tom has worked as a Special Programs Assistant in the Bureau of Human Rights and Humanitarian Affairs at the U.S. Department of State in both the Bush and Clinton administrations. He also has held positions at the Center for National Security Law, SAIC, and had his own consulting practice. He is a former Ford Fellow at the University of Virginia School of Law and is widely published. In 1991, he was awarded the Bruno Bitker Prize for the best international law article of the year by the Americvan Bar Association's Committee on World Order Under Law.

Tom and his wife, Katie, have two sons and one daughter. He is active in the Knights of Columbus, Rotary Club of Sterling, and provides pro-bono legal assistance to women in crisis pregnancies.

Maryann C. Puffer, Associate Attorney

Maryann is a graduate of theHastings College of Law, University of California, San Francisco. She holds a bachelor's degree from Virginia Commonwealth University and is a graduate of Herndon High School.

Maryann currently resides in Ashburn, VA.
